A four-inch diameter perforated pipe is laid with holes down and sloped to drain at the base of the aggregate trench, sized per the soils report. The trench is filled with Caltrans Class 2 permeable material or three-quarter to one-and-one-half-inch clean durable coarse aggregate, wrapped entirely in Mirafi 140N or equivalent filter fabric. The top of the trench features a one-foot-thick layer of compacted impervious soil at the exterior, measuring one foot wide minimum. All material specifications and compaction requirements are coordinated with the project soils report.
