A wide-flange buckling-restrained braced frame column connects via a column base plate to a concrete plinth and footing. Long anchor rods are installed in PVC sleeves extending through the full height of the plinth and into the footing, secured with bottom anchor plates and nuts. A slab on grade bears against the upper portion of the plinth, maintaining a typical two-inch clearance. Reinforcing steel cage details and concrete cover are indicated throughout the plinth and footing assembly.
