Footings shall bear on engineered structural fill extending down to native soils per plan and soils report, with a width equal to the depth. A free draining granular base supports the slab on grade, which includes a vapor barrier as required by the soils report. Backfill is placed against the foundation wall with the finish grade sloped away from the structure and maintaining a six-inch minimum clearance.
