A typical metal roof deck edge condition features a continuous quarter-inch bent plate fascia at roof overhangs less than twelve inches. The continuous bent plate is welded to the supporting steel beam with quarter-inch fillet welds spaced at six inches on center. A beam web stiffener is included at perpendicular framing conditions to provide local web support. The steel beam is sized per plan and coordinates with architectural overhang dimensions.
