Tactile room identification signs are mounted on the wall adjacent to the latch side of the door. The centerline of the sign is positioned nine inches horizontally from the edge of the door frame. The bottom of the sign is placed at four feet three inches above the finished floor to the base of the sign. The baseline of the lowest tactile character is located four feet zero inches above the finished floor. The centerline of the raised characters and overall sign height reach five feet zero inches above the finished floor.
