A cold-formed metal stud seats inside a bottom track which is anchored directly to a concrete floor slab. The bottom track is secured with zero-point-one-four-five-inch diameter power-driven fasteners spaced at sixteen inches on center at exterior walls and thirty-two inches on center at non-bearing partitions. Two number-ten self-tapping screws connect the stud flanges to the track web per typical metal stud notes.
