Two steel beams frame into opposite sides of a steel column, bearing on connection plates welded to the column web and flanges. A one-half inch cap plate sits atop the steel column with bolted connections securing the upper elements. A one-eighth inch continuous bent plate runs between joists above the beam lines to support the profiled steel deck spanning across the assembly.
