Cold-formed steel wall studs frame into a sixteen-gauge track at the window head with an in-plane slip connection secured by three number ten sheet metal screws with horizontal slots. At the king stud connection, provide a row of number ten sheet metal screws at each side for a total of six fasteners. At the hollow structural section, provide two number fourteen self-tapping screws at each side for a total of four fasteners.
