Hollow structural section beams frame continuously past or abut a hollow structural section column centerline with moment connections at roof level. A half-inch minimum plate is provided typically at connection points, secured with top and bottom welds designated by thickness t. Typical fillet or groove welds tie the beam flanges and webs to the column face, accompanied by schematic weld symbol legends displayed alongside the section. Centerline column alignment is maintained through the assembly.
