Beam bracing connections utilize structural steel angle struts anchored to beams and concrete deck assemblies. The brace consists of a 3x3x1/4 angle with stitch plates measuring 3/8 by 3 inches by zero feet three and a half inches spaced at forty-eight inches on center maximum, connected with three-quarter-inch diameter A307 bolts top and bottom. A one-half-inch plate is anchored to the concrete deck using five-eighths-inch diameter expansion anchors with a four-inch embedment minimum and one-inch minimum clearance. Welds are specified as three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds placed all around. Slotted holes measuring one and a half inches accommodate differential movement at connection points.
