An hollow structural section column sits on a structural base plate anchored to a concrete footing. The surrounding concrete slab features a blockout with number four dowels placed at twelve inches on center on all four sides. Continuous slab reinforcement or two number five minimum trim bars are positioned at the top of the slab. The footing and slab elevations are sized per plan with a minimum six inch dimension from the column face.
