An interior or exterior steel stud wall terminates below a concrete-filled or bare metal deck supported by a structural steel beam. A continuous top track connects to the deck above, with connections specified per interior or exterior wall conditions. A continuous plate welded to the beam with a 1/8-inch fillet weld at 12 inches on center provides lateral support. An additional clip angle connects the assembly at exterior walls only.
