A circular landing support column is connected to a Grade 50 square embed plate measuring one inch thick by twenty-four inches square using a complete joint penetration weld. Nine seven-eighths inch diameter by twelve-inch long headed studs are welded to the underside of the embed plate for concrete anchorage. The column centerlines align with the principal axes of the embed plate with a typical two-inch edge distance to the outer anchor studs.
