A cold-formed steel stud aligns with a building grid adjacent to a structural steel beam supporting a metal deck. The steel beam bottom chord features a continuous L4x4x1/4 angle that discontinues at perpendicular steel beams and web members, with shear plate connections and deck edge connections detailed on separate sheets. A continuous 6-inch quarter-inch bent plate attaches to the cold-formed steel stud via a PLC2 clip with three number 13 screws and three powder-actuated fasteners into the bent plate. A designated gap is maintained per architectural drawings between the framing components.
