A base plate connection utilizes a one-inch-thick steel plate measuring 16 inches by 1 foot 10 inches with a yield strength of 50 PSI. The assembly is secured by six one-and-one-eighth-inch F1554 Grade 55 anchor bolts arranged with typical edge and center spacing dimensions. A three-eighths-inch fillet weld connects the steel column profile to the base plate.
