Metal deck support connections between beams utilize a continuous five-by-five by five-sixteenths inch angle oriented parallel and perpendicular to the deck flutes. The deck support angle connects to a three-eighths by nine by nine-inch embed plate featuring four three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch heavy stud anchors spaced at a maximum of eighteen inches on center. Diaphragm reinforcing is tied using half-inch diameter by thirty-six-inch deformed bar anchors spaced to match the diaphragm reinforcement schedule at a minimum of eighteen inches on center. Fillet welds of one-quarter inch size join the assembly together. The embed plate is placed a minimum of four and one-half inches from the edge of the panel along specified grid lines, with maximum spacing adjusted to twelve inches on center.
