A structural steel joist tube connects to a concrete panel using embedded steel plates and welded studs. Three-quarter-inch side plates and a bent plate or angle ledger are welded to the embedded plate assemblies with fillet welds. Six number seven reinforcing drag bars five feet long are anchored into the concrete panel. Additional bar joists and nailers are provided as required by the plan.
