Standard reinforcing bar development lengths for 90-degree and 180-degree hooks are measured from the face of support to the critical section. The embedment length ldh is indicated along the straight portion of the bar up to the hook curvature. Standard hook dimensions and bend diameters D are sized in accordance with standard hook and tie details.
