Standard hook development length requirements within a concrete lateral load resisting element. The critical section is at the face of the concrete and requires a minimum two-inch clearance. Reinforcing bars terminate in standard hooks extending the development length designated as Ldh. Both a typical section and a section at a lateral load resisting element are provided for comparison.
