Precast concrete wall panels are joined at the interior side using a three-quarter-inch thick bent plate measuring two feet three inches long, secured with four number eight dowels totaling eight dowels. Four one-inch thick stiffener plates are welded to the bent plate with full penetration welds and joined to the panel reinforcement with cut rebar at the bottom stiffener plate. A half-inch fillet weld is specified on three sides typical for the detail, alongside a one-quarter-inch fillet weld for supplementary angle connections. Reinforcement within the panels is indicated as shown on panel elevations for full height.
