An angle frame constructed from an L6x4x5/16 angle with long legs vertical is positioned under mechanical unit curbing, extending six inches minimum beyond the joist top chord panel point. The joist top chord panel point requires coordination with the joist supplier. Duct openings are framed with typical L3x3x1/4 angles. Additional typical framing uses L6x4x5/16 angles with long legs vertical.
