A concrete masonry unit wall control joint assembly incorporates closed-end blocks and open-end blocks separated by a joint with sealant. Continuous horizontal reinforcing bars run through the wall, with chord bars continuing through the control joint and every alternate horizontal bar spaced at four feet. Vertical reinforcing bars are placed at each end of the control joint opening. Solid grouting requirements are sized per the architectural plans.
