A concrete step beam configuration with slab and reinforcement sized per plan. The assembly comprises concrete slab reinforcement, beam top and bottom reinforcement, and beam ties consisting of number four bars at twelve inches on center minimum. For the two pour condition, an intentionally roughened surface to one-quarter inch amplitude is specified along the vertical joint with continuous number four horizontal bars at twelve inches on center each face. A one-and-one-half-inch concrete clearance is maintained typically unless otherwise noted.
