A structural steel truss web member connects to a hollow structural section chord using a Cast Connex Universal Pin Connector. The pin connector is welded to a gusset plate, which ties into the main structural assembly at the work point. Top and bottom stiffener plates are welded to the vertical member to distribute concentrated loads from the beam and gusset connections. A three-quarter inch clearance is maintained at the pin connection interface.
