A concrete topping slab is cast over a profiled metal deck with transverse reinforcing bars positioned at the top and bottom. Center reinforcing bars are centered in the deck flutes with a three-quarter inch clearance maintained throughout. Diaphragm reinforcing is provided where required per plan, with specific thicknesses dimensioned for both the topping and the deck.
