An L4x4x3/8 structural angle kicker brace connects between a wide flange beam and a three-eighths-inch thick gusset plate welded with one-quarter-inch fillet welds on three sides, each edge. The wide flange beams are sized per plan and provide support to the reinforced concrete pit slab and metal deck assembly. A minimum three-inch bearing is maintained.
