Vertical wall framing assembly for Wall Type G connects to structural steel framing at Level 2 and roof levels. Cold-formed steel studs interface with a slip track utilizing a drift track fastened with self-tapping metal screws, welds, or powder-actuated fasteners depending on the fixed or drift condition. Heavy-duty deflection clips and slip clips secure the studs to the structural frame while accommodating vertical deflection and lateral drift. A boxed header frames the opening above the curtainwall interface, secured with staggered self-tapping screws. The curtainwall framing below is provided by others.
