A six-inch minimum concrete pony wall rises to a maximum height of four feet six inches above the supporting floor structure. Vertical reinforcement consists of number five bars spaced at twelve inches each way within the wall. At the concrete slab condition, wall dowels anchor into the slab with continuous number five reinforcing bars. At the concrete-filled metal deck condition, dowels extend down into the low flute of the metal deck with hooks running parallel to the deck where possible, supplemented by number five bars at six feet zero inches long spaced at twelve inches on center.
