Typical slab edge condition at structural steel columns for both parallel and perpendicular web orientations. An L2x2x3/16 angle is placed at each flange with an edge form sized per Table K.1, providing a three-sixteenth inch minimum slab edge. A closure plate is held back to clear the weld by a maximum of one-half inch typically. Welds secure the assembly as indicated in the callouts.
