Two HSS 8x8x5/8 hollow structural sections are placed side-by-side with half-inch plates spanning across the top and bottom faces. Five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds secure the plates to the hollow structural sections with a typical four-inch weld length on twelve-inch centers.
