This assembly details a typical lap connection between cold-formed metal wall framing members, secured with four number 10 screws per lap connection unless noted otherwise. A 2-inch by 2-inch by 18-gauge continuous closure angle is installed at outside corners, attached with one number 10 screw at each stud. The metal wall framing members are sized per the project plans. Four number 10 screws are also required for each kicker or stud connection unless noted otherwise.
