A steel hollow structural section or wide flange wind girt frames into a steel column at a reentrant corner condition. The connection incorporates a structural angle with three-eighths inch angle stiffeners and a one-half inch web stiffener plate welded with one-quarter inch fillet welds. Four bolts fasten the connection across the entire flange to the steel column. Exterior insulation continuous past the assembly provides thermal continuity.
