A thickened concrete slab edge features two continuous number four reinforcing bars placed within a nine-inch wide stem. A recess is provided at the top corner for storefront conditions where required. Exterior grade conditions accommodate asphalt concrete paving or a concrete slab. A general note specifies that the thickened edge is not required at truck court slabs when the adjacent paving is also concrete.
