This assembly features a hollow structural section column anchored to a reinforced concrete pier, which is supported by a concrete footing. The column base plate and anchor bolts are referenced to detail 1/S210. The pier includes three ties spaced at a maximum of 5 inches for the first set, with additional reinforcing sized per the structural plan and schedule. An isolation joint separates the exterior concrete slab from the pier assembly. The concrete footing reinforcing is also sized per the structural plan and schedule, with minimum concrete cover requirements noted.
