A six-inch diameter concrete-filled pipe bollard is welded to a five-eighths by fifteen-inch by one-foot three-inch steel base plate with a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld. The base plate is anchored to the metal deck assembly using four three-quarter-inch diameter by four-and-one-half-inch long headed studs spaced at nine inches on center each way. Two number four reinforcing bars measuring four feet long are placed each way through the assembly. Where the bollard occurs at a low flute, two feet of the metal deck is cut and flattened. Shear studs are centered on the low flutes.
