This detail addresses roof deck attachment at locations where the wall does not align with the deck valley. A sixteen-gauge plate is installed above the wall to span across the misaligned framing. The roof deck is secured to the plate using number eight screws spaced at twenty-four inches on center at each end of the deck valley on each side of the wall.
