A post-tensioned tendon anchor sits at the edge of a concrete slab. The fully encapsulated system features a live or dead end tendon anchor positioned with two continuous number four backup bars located one inch clear from the face of the anchor. Where six or more tendons occur with anchor spacing of twelve inches or less, number three hairpins are provided to match the tendon spacing, with hairpin legs aligned in the same plane as the top and bottom reinforcing mats. Two inches of concrete cover is maintained at dead end anchors. Stressing pockets are packed with non-shrink grout after tendon ends are burned off, and grommets are installed at the stressing end only.
