A six-inch wide and fourteen-inch high concrete curb features a top corner with a one and one-half inch radius. The curb rests on a compacted layer of select fill typical below the base. Adjacent pavement meets the side of the curb at an eight-inch height above the bottom of the wall, with reinforcing bars embedded inside the concrete profile. Installation is specified to follow American Public Works Association standards plan number two hundred nine.
