A diagonal brace connects to a steel beam supporting metal deck, featuring a three by three by sixteen gauge one-foot-long clip angle secured with four number ten sheet metal screws. The metal deck is fastened to the supporting beam with three number twelve sheet metal screws per flute, aligned either perpendicular or parallel to the brace angle varying from thirty to sixty degrees. A one-inch minimum clearance is maintained at the deck termination. Any removed spray-on fireproofing must be reapplied following installation.
