Cold-formed metal framing joists span between hanger studs and a stud wall with diagonal bracing members. A 400S137-54 brace is spaced at four feet on center and secured with four number 10 sheet metal screws at each end of the brace up to a maximum length of twelve feet. Alternate brace locations are provided at each joist with connection fastened to the wall framing at each end. Number 10 sheet metal screws attach to each flange typically.
