Angle supports connect to a steel joist and a wide flange beam. The structural assembly features steel angles sized per detail C, quarter-inch plates, and three-sixteenths inch fillet welds typically applied. The vertical leg of the angle is cut and chipped to clear the top chord angle with a half-inch maximum clearance. The metal deck is omitted for clarity.
