A vertical step in a continuous concrete strip footing. Longitudinal reinforcement follows the step geometry with a typical lap length of 48 bar diameters. The vertical transition is limited to a maximum height of 2'-0", with the horizontal length of the step transition specified as two times the footing depth. Reinforcement sizing and footing depth are determined per the structural schedule and plan. A minimum 3-inch edge distance is maintained from the panel to the strip footing.
