A reinforced concrete grade beam supports a concrete floor slab with the finish floor elevation established at the top. Number 4 dowels spaced at sixteen inches on center feature twelve inches of embedment into the grade beam. The rectangular grade beam section incorporates top bars, bottom bars, and closed stirrups sized per the structural schedule. Number 5 bars are placed each face for grade beam depths greater than thirty inches. Width and depth dimensions are sized per schedule and plan.
