A wide-flange beam frames into cold-formed steel studs using a Simpson FSB3.518 connection secured with four number ten screws at each end. An edge angle is attached to the steel studs with a Simpson stiff clip using two number ten screws into the stud and four powder-actuated fasteners into the edge angle. The floor deck bears on the wide-flange beam and edge angle per structural schedules and architectural specifications.
