A circular steel base plate connects a hollow structural section fence post to its foundation. The tubular post is joined to the plate with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld typical all around. Four equally spaced anchor bolts secure the assembly through pre-drilled holes in the plate, spaced one and one-half inches typical from the edge.
