A closure plate spans between steel beams supporting a concrete slab over metal floor deck. The closure plate is tack welded at twenty-four inches on center maximum. An adjacent schedule provides closure plate thicknesses corresponding to overhang dimensions ranging from less than six inches up to twelve inches. The connection utilizes welded shear tabs and steel beams.
