A twelve-inch-wide concrete wall and curb footing is reinforced with number five vertical bars at twelve inches on center each way each face, with a maximum top-of-wall height of five feet six inches above the top of the footing. The concrete footing features number six longitudinal bars top and bottom at eight inches on center and number five ties at eight inches on center, supported on three-inch clearances. A one-and-one-half-inch square by one-eighth-inch-thick guardrail post is embedded into a two-and-one-half-inch square by one-quarter-inch thick by zero-feet-eight-inch-long steel sleeve set with number three ties at twelve inches on center. The top of the concrete curb has a three-quarter-inch typical chamfer and interfaces with adjacent paving or landscaping as specified in civil and landscape drawings, alongside a wall drain referenced to detail five on sheet S-5512.
