A continuous concrete masonry unit wall runs parallel to a wide flange beam and is laterally braced to the underside of the beam assembly. Two five-eighths inch diameter threaded studs at nine inch gauge are welded to the bottom flange of the beam. A horizontal laminated strand lumber member runs parallel to the wall in an angle connected to the underside of the beam, secured with a finger-tight nut and peened threads to prevent loosening. A bent plate measuring four inches by five-sixteenths by one foot three inches wide is installed at support S2 with a vertical laminated strand lumber member and two one-half inch diameter anchor rods at twelve inches on center grouted in the cell. A bond beam is integrated into the masonry wall, which varies in distance up to one foot eight inches maximum from the centerline of the beam and extends to the typical wall top connection at the next floor.
