A buckling-restrained brace connection frames into a wide-flange beam and column. The assembly features a gusset plate and stiffener plates sized per the manufacturer, connected with bolted shear tabs and welded joints. Field welds include 5/16-inch, 9/16-inch, and 1/4-inch fillet welds specified around the connection plates and beam webs. Two 7/8-inch diameter erection bolts secure the connection temporarily at the column flange.
