A supported wide-flange steel beam connects to the web of a supporting wide-flange steel beam via a bolted framing angle or shear plate. The connecting plate and bolts are sized per the structural schedule and general notes. Bolt rows are spaced at three inches vertically with one and one-half inches edge distance, and four inches horizontally with two inches end distance, typical per note. The web connection uses multiple rows of bolts as specified in the drawing notes.
